Top 5 highlights from #RWAus15.
Romance Writers of Australia outdid themselves yet again with a truly fabulous conference held on Ausgust 21-23 at the Park Hyatt in Melbourne. With a line up of international and local talent, I was thrilled to attend my fourth conference. Whether you are a huge best seller, an emerging or aspiring writer, this organisation makes you feel invincible. Romance Writers Rock!
1. Getting my “First Sale” ribbon.
I know know how other authors feel after receiving my first little blue ribbon. it's amazing, exciting, exhilerating and wonderful. To finally be a published author with @Momentumbooks is a dream come true. Thanks to Haylee Nash and all the team at Momentum.
2. Winning in the costume party – Kylie Rocks!
The cocktail party on Friday evening was a huge amount of fun. I love any opportunity to dress up (especially as Kylie) and go crazy. Thanks to Hollywood tape I managed to have no wardrobe malfunctions. And luckily after some drama, I did find my ring. Thanks everyone for helping.

3. Selling 9 x books at the #ARRAInc Book signing.
I was very excited to attend my first #ARRAInc book sigining. Sitting next to Kylie Kaden and Rachael Johns was fun. It was loud, crazy and exhausting. I managed to sell a heap of books and hopefully gained a few fans. More books will be out next year. Woohoo!
4. The Margie Lawson workshop was mind-blowingly amazing.
WOW! I learned so much during Friday's workshop that yes, I have to come home and do some major rework on a manuscript or two. But it will be so worth it! Count me in for the immersion course if she comes back to Australia net year.
5. Catching up with and making new friends – especially fellow #momentumbooks authors.
The RWA blows me away. We are the most amazing bunch of people. So supportive and friendly. Friday night catch up with fellow Momentum Book guys and gals was a treat.

So after a full weekend of two many drinks, too much food, way too much chocolate and inspiring, motivating educational workshops and breakout sessions, it will take me a year to recover. I'll be in Adelaide at next years conference with bells on.
Thanks for an amazing conference yet again RWA. You Rock!
